Barista

We are seeking counter staff to serve pastries and beverages, and experienced baristas to make and serve elegant espresso beverages, as well as serve pastries. Full-time and part-time positions are available. Must be available to work weekends, early mornings and/or evenings.

TASKS:

  • Make high end, beautiful espresso drinks using manual La Marzocco (barista)
  • Understand and speak with customers about coffee, espresso, and baked goods
  • Serve customers baked goods, ice cream and beverages to customers
  • Set-up and breakdown pastry counter, register, and other opening/closing duties

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Espresso skills: operate a manual espresso machine and basic latte art (barista)
  • Reliable, punctual and friendly work demeanor
  • Ability to learn quickly, take direction, and work independently
  • Available to work weekends
  • At least one year barista experience in a professional environment
  • Must provide TWO PROFESSIONAL REFERENCES
  • NY Food Handlers Certificate preferred
